Phase II Terminal Expansion , Prince George Airport
Jun/05. CONSTRUCTION COST $5,900,000.
The Second Phase of this project consists of renovations and 16,000 square foot addition to the existing Airport Terminal Building.
This new expansion includes new Domestic and International passenger arrivals areas, and office space for the International administrative support staff, and Canadian Border Security Agency.
The new structure consists of exposed heavy timber, concrete and steel substructure, fibre cement panels, clear cedar, and clear fir soffits complete the exterior finishes, and continue into the interior where natural materials are present to represent Northern B.C. resources.
The Prince George Airport Authority, staff and directors, have put together an award winning project team. The Architects McfarlaneGreen are receiving an LG Award for their design on this project. This will be the first project in Prince George to receive this award, and Wayne Watson Construction Ltd. and staff are proud to be apart of this exciting project.
